NUTRICIA DEVA a.s.

Joint-stock company Nutricia Deva Nové Město nad Metují is one of the oldest manufacturers of infant and baby fruit type food and was the first manufacturer of non-milk products in Eastern and Central Europe. Manufacturing began in 1950 on a line delivered through UNICEF fund. The plant in Nové Město nad Metují became the fundamental plant of newly built company Východočeská Fruta (East Bohemia Fruta).

In 1995 the company was partially taken over by Dutch company Nutricia, at the moment Koninklijke (Royal) NUMICO N.V. Since 2001 NUMICO has taken over 100% of the company and with effect from 1.1.2004 the name of the company DEVA a.s. changed to NUTRICIA DEVA a.s.

The company Koninklijke (Royal) NUMICO N.V. is an international Dutch company operating in the market with the brands such as: NUTRICIA, Cow & Gate, Milupa, SHS, NUTRISON, NUTRILON, OLVARIT. It is the biggest European manufacturer of baby food and clinical nutrition and nutritional components.
